Protecting and Expanding the DCCC Brand
IN-HOUSE DESIGN & BRAND MANAGEMENT
From 2018 to 2021, as in-house Graphic Designer (2018-2019), Art Director (2020-2021), and eventual interim Creative Director (2021), I helped establish and evolve the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s brand into a full-fledged system capable of speaking to the diverse channels and audiences of our modern political landscape. Beginning my tenure in the midst of a major rebranding of this 150-year-old political institution, in my first six months I helped define the brand’s typography and color conventions to complement its fresh, new logo. By the time of my resignation in 2021, I’d become the top authority on the organization’s brand and had established a distinct voice for everything from organic social media graphics, digital ad campaigns and landing pages, donor events, fundraising appeals, microsites, Comms initiatives, and sub-branding for special programs.
As I grew with the DCCC and took over the reins of the small-but-mighty creative team of video producers and junior graphic designers, we played our part to help flip the House in 2018 and protect House Democrats’ historic gains in the 2020 cycle.
All work shown on this page was designed by me except where noted.
